  Crowning Glory

 If you want a smile that’s  your crowning  glory, you may need a crown to cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size.   A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance.

The look and function of a crown are considered when choosing  the material most suitable for  you.  Your dentist  will consider  the tooth  location, the position of the gum tissue, the amount of tooth that shows  you smile the color or shade of the tooth and the function of the tooth.

Dental Bridge

The dental bridge is a prosthetic solution to replace one or several absent teeth.  Nowadays this device is used less frequently due to the excellent results obtained with dental implants.

·        The crowns fixed on to the tooth remnants

·        The pontic span

·        The connectors that unite the bridge to the crowns.

The number of  teeth that can be replaced by a single bridge is calculated using teeth to be replaced must be equal to or less than the surface area of the abutment teeth.  Different designs exist for the support of the of the pontic span on the gum, and these depend on the objective to be achieved, which may be esthetic or functional.
